This blog post focuses on the advantages of LED for hospitals.

In Denmark, the public sector is large and has a significant role in the Danish society model. The public sector handles services for the citizens and administers the public bureaucracy.

Among these services, the public sector offers education for all ages, hospitals for when we get sick as well as nursing homes for the elderly.

In Denmark, the public sector employs many people in for example various administrative positions and thus, many buildings must be used for several government agencies or local authorities.

With the LED technology, you don’t have to worry about the lighting’s negative impact on the well-being of humans and animals. In fact, science concludes that LED lighting has a significantly better lighting quality compared to traditional lighting and this leads to improved wellbeing for humans and animals when exposed to the LED lighting for a longer period of time.

Due to the healthy qualities of LED, this lighting type is the perfect hospital lighting. LED can benefit both patients and employees at the hospital. Below we give you a quick overview of how a hospital can benefit from LED:

Patients: It is important to have healthy lighting at a hospital because the patients are often hospitalized for a longer period of time and therefore very much get exposed to the hospital’s lighting. With traditional lighting, the patients could develop headaches, tiredness and a feeling of being ill. Thus, the generally improved well-being which can be achieved with LED lighting can highly benefit the patients at the hospital.

Furthermore, science has proven that patients can be released faster by using dynamic LED lighting (also called RGBW) which entails that the colors in the room changes from red, green, blue and white. The same good effect can also be achieved by using The Tunable White Concept, where the LED lighting changes from cold to hot or in reverse.

Employees: It is important that doctors, nurses and other medical staff at the hospital have the most optimal lighting for carrying out their important and demanding job doing surgeries, delivering babies etc. The optimal working environment can be ensured by using powerful LED lighting with a high lighting quality.

Furthermore, it has been proven that LED lighting can improve the job satisfaction and working productivity and thus LED lighting can help improving and fasten the treatment of patients at the hospitals.
